Over three decades later he still stops to thank people who are kind to me.

His life is an adventure that he lives with gusto. He loves without inhibition.

Stories of raising his little farm girl are often capped with, “Laura isn’t afraid of anything.” His words make me shyly beam.

Being treated like a princess has a snowball effect.

When we cherish and respect the people closest to us it shapes their world and propels kindness forward.

Who am I and what’s my purpose?

Child-like aspiration and discovering the impact your life can make… by living authentically and from the heart … are gifts from my father.

“Traditional” wasn’t in my vocabulary as a kid. I was homeschooled 30 years before the rest of the world would give it a shot. Explaining why I wasn’t “in school” was first awkward then normal.

Fast forward as college began at 16. By 19 my father suggested I become a photographer. I had nothing in my pocket but hope. A week later I signed a lease on a studio, cancelled college courses and quit my job.

I was excited to begin a new endeavor. Every lesson felt painful. I was learning to run a business by trial and error.

I wore my heart on my sleeve and finally the dots began to connect. I discovered my passion for creative problem solving while helping my clients authentically and visually represent themselves.

Finding my purpose and passion wasn’t an ah-ha moment… it was there all along.

Once I could align with child-like aspirations and face the fears that say you’re not enough… only then would I step into my potential.
